A new drive for 2023, submitted by MOTorer Brian G.! If notches are your thing, this is the drive for you. Spend the day soaking in the sights of 3 different notches. Spank the Kanc on your way to zig and zag into Maine for a bit. Drive ends at the base of the Auto Road.
HEIDI'S SOUTHERN DRIVE: Travel Estimate: 93 miles - 2 hours 17 minutes.

A serene drive through some of the more rustic old towns of New Hampshire. Following Routes 175 and 113, enjoy winding roads over lazy rivers and through the Lakes Region area with its picture perfect views. After lunch in Moultonborough, continue through tiny towns as you make your way back north. Be sure to take your time driving. The local constabulary may be out and about making sure everyone is enjoying a peaceful day.

A moderate drive across the Kancamagus into North Conway, New Hampshire. After lunch, head up Route 113, running back and forth across the Maine border through quiet country towns. End the drive on Route 16 at the Mount Washington Auto Road.

After lunch in Franconia, finish your drive on scenic Route 302 that crosses through Crawford’s Notch, the source of the Saco River.
