Scenic Driving Routes

After spending the morning with 100+ other MINIs, you have your choice of beautiful driving routes leaving Hobo Railroad and ending at the Auto Road, with time along the way for a picnic lunch.

Please note there is a DRIVERS MEETING at 11:30 which is mandatory

• In addition to the traditional colored ribbons, each drive will be assigned a colored paper, treat it like a ticket
• You will sign up for your scenic drive at the lot Saturday morning by picking up a ribbon and colored paper – only 25 “tickets” will be issued for each drive
• Display this colored paper on your dashboard, this is how we will know we have a safe number of cars in each drive when staging
• Drive routes may be added/removed as necessary on Saturday morning

NOTCH YER AVERAGE DRIVE: Travel Estimate: 90 miles - 2 hours 15 minutes.

Spice Level: Spicy

A new drive for 2023, submitted by MOTorer Brian G.! If notches are your thing, this is the drive for you. Spend the day soaking in the sights of 3 different notches. Spank the Kanc on your way to zig and zag into Maine for a bit. Drive ends at the base of the Auto Road. 

HEIDI'S SOUTHERN DRIVE: Travel Estimate: 93 miles - 2 hours 17 minutes.

Spice Level: A 'Lil Spice

A serene drive through some of the more rustic old towns of New Hampshire. Following Routes 175 and 113, enjoy winding roads over lazy rivers and through the Lakes Region area with its picture perfect views. After lunch in Moultonborough, continue through tiny towns as you make your way back north. Be sure to take your time driving. The local constabulary may be out and about making sure everyone is enjoying a peaceful day.

CONNIE'S DRIVE: Travel Estimate: 94 miles - 2 hours 14 minutes.

Spice Level: Spicy

A moderate drive across the Kancamagus into North Conway, New Hampshire. After lunch, head up Route 113, running back and forth across the Maine border through quiet country towns. End the drive on Route 16 at the Mount Washington Auto Road.

SUGAR HILL: Travel Estimate: 90 miles - 2 hours 9 minutes

Ribbon Color: ORANGE

Spice Level: A 'Lil Spice

Drive the scenic Route 112 into Historic Bath, NH and follow the Wild Ammonoosuc River up to Route 117. Cross Sugar Hill where you’ll see some of the most breathtaking views in New Hampshire. After lunch in Franconia, finish your drive on scenic Route 302 that crosses through Crawford’s Notch, the source of the Saco River.

THE HURRICANE: Travel Estimate: 84 miles - 2 hours 18 minutes

Spice Level: SUPER Spicy!

A spirited drive across Hurricane Mountain Road. Twice! The Hurricane is a very narrow, twisty, hilly road in the woods. Not for the faint of heart! Keep your eyes on the car in front of you and stay to your side!

THE KANC: Travel Estimate: 96 miles - 2 hours 19 minutes

Spice Level: A 'Lil Spice

The White Mountain’s most famous road, the Kancamagus (lovingly known as the Kanc) has beautiful scenic views and loads of twisties (plus a hairpin turn or two). After lunch in Fryeburg, Maine, run back across the Kanc and finish your drive on the equally fun Bear Notch Road.

THE FRANC: Travel Estimate: 78 miles - 1 hour 42 minutes

Spice Level: A 'Lil Spice

Driving through the heart of Franconia Notch, you’ll pass the Old Man of the Mountain viewing area. (Stop in and pay your respects.) You’ll get the feeling that the mountains are rising up around you. Best viewed with the top down (if you can)! After lunch in Littleton, enjoy the quiet towns of northern New Hampshire as you make your way to the Auto Road across scenic Route 302.

THE OUTLETS: Leaves with Connie’s Drive and stops in North Conway for lunch.
